The Center's Substantive Expertise
The Center has over two decades of experience providing assistance to jurisdictions across the nation on a variety of issues and topics related to criminal justice, including offender management, collaboration as a method to enhance justice-related efforts, and offender assessment and decisionmaking. The Center also supports the integration of new and innovative criminal justice philosophies and practices into the work of policymakers and practitioners.
The Center's Products
The Center synthesizes its work in writing for the criminal justice field so that others can learn from the knowledge and information emerging from the Center's efforts. The Center publishes and makes available training curricula, policy and practice briefs, handbooks, video seminars, and other resources on a myriad of issues. The Center develops topic and project-specific Web sites to facilitate the dissemination of these materials.
The Center's Funders
Throughout its history, the Center's work has been supported by an array of funding sources. While many of the Center's activities are sponsored by federal and quasifederal agencies, the organization also conducts initiatives for state and local agencies, private foundations, nonprofit organizations, and private-for-profit organizations.
